Interdependency

Picture
Greek and Egyptian mythology are very similar.

1. In these myths, there was an enemy (usually another god) to the ruler. In Egypt, that person was Seth, and in Greece it was Cronus. In modern society we all have an enemy. For example, in the United States we have enemies and fight at war (e.g. Afghanistan).

2. Also, in Egyptian and Greek myth there is always a king. In Greek manuscript, Zeus was the king. In Egyptian manuscript, Horus was the ruler. In modern society, our king is the president or ruler to a country.

3. Another similarity between the Greek mythology and the Egyptian mythology is that they both have gods (or deities) that symbolizes something (e.g. Ra symbolizes the sun and other gods while Zeus symbolizes thunder and other gods as well). Here in the United States, we have certain people, like the president who symbolizes the country, that takes place in the shape of our nation.

4. Finally, a component of both mythologies is that there are certain stories that describe events, which includes Greek manuscript and the Egyptian stories written in hieroglyphics. In the United States, science and history describes current (or early) events.

The Interdependency of the Egyptian and Greek culture, in fact, built on each other and created a better mythology. Architecture has relied on the similar elements (many of the Greek stories have been copied by Egyptian myths) that were based upon a theme. Also, the Greek and Egyptian mythologies would not have been known today without each other. First of all, Greek myth has been based on Egyptian myth, following same patterns such as similar gods and legends.
