Introduction to Egyptian Mythology

Picture
Egyptian mythology is a mysterious, polytheistic belief. Over 3000 years ago, the Ancient Egyptians believed in these gods and marked the stories/legends in hieroglyphics. Several years later, historians has uncovered these intriguing tales and thus the Egyptian mythology was reborn. These myths are based upon ancient deities, also known as the Egyptian Gods. Former ritual practices were based on the Pharaoh, a king/ruler who was believed to be a descendant of the gods. Each deity represents a specific element, such as Ra of the Sun. In addition, most Egyptian gods have the heads of an animal (e.g. Head of a wolf). Despite each immortal god having a bizarre and outlandish theme, they are known for the creation of the world, stated by ancient Egyptians. Now, as the Egyptian cultures paused their belief, we still enjoy the wonders of ancient Egyptian mythology.
